SAN DIEGO, CA - "I'm Bandit, a 7 year-old Boston Terrier.  I was born to ride on a motorcycle and become Bandit the Biker Dog ™.  I have been riding my full-dresser Harley along with my human, Mark Shaffer since February 5, 2002, when I was only 8 weeks old.  No matter where the ride takes us, whether it's just a quick trip to the a coffee shop or a 4-day trip to the Grand Canyon, I always enjoy the wind blowing in my face and the sounds of the rumbling engine.  I have attended Bike rallies throughout southern California, and as far away as Nevada and Arizona." (continued)  Read Story >>>

SAN DIEGO, CA - 11 months after the passing of Bandit, a new "biker dog" has found his way into the home and heart of owner Mark Shaffer. A little Boston Terrier was born August 3, 2009 in Santa Clarita, CA.  Sixteen weeks later, The puppy and Mark were introduced.  It was love at first site/meeting. On November 8, 2009, the puppy (named "Dexter" at birth) was renamed  "Chopper" by Mark and was brought to his new home in San Diego.   (continued) Read Story >>>

In life, Bandit stood for one thing: to make a difference in people's lives, whether it was putting a smile on a child's face at the Children's Hospital, visiting the guests at the San Diego Hospice or just making people smile and laugh when he was out and about.

Even after his passing, Bandit is still making a difference in people's lives: In 2009, the "Bandit the Biker Dog Memorial Blood Drive" was created in conjunction with the San Diego Blood Bank in Bandit's memory and honor. In this way, Bandit's legacy of giving will continue making a difference in the lives of those in the community where he lived. Please follow the link below to see coverage of the 2009 and 2010 Memorial Blood Drives (updating 2010 soon)
